Important Information

Registration

Registrations received after 11:59 p.m. EDT (04.59 GMT, on Monday, September 9, 2013, will be charged the on-site rate. Payment MUST be received with your registration form; NO forms will be processed without payment. All payments must be in US dollars and drawn on a US bank.

Confirmations

Upon receipt of your registration and payment, a confirmation letter will be e-mailed) PAYMENT PROBLEMS WILL DELAY PROCESSING OF YOUR REGISTRATION.

Please Note: NO BADGES WILL BE MAILED. Your technical badge represents value. As such, all technical badges will be replaced for a $25 badge reprint fee.

Reasonable policies and terms of registration have been established for FiO/LS 2013. We encourage you to read these carefully as all registrants to FiO/LS 2013 will be required to agree to these policies and terms as a condition of registration.

New!! – Committee / Presenting Author

Committee Members and Presenting Authors for FiO/LS can register at a special discounted rate! To take advantage of this rate, registrants must have contributed to the meeting by participating on a committee or by presenting a paper at FiO/LS.  This includes those that will present posters.

Student Registration

Full-time students (graduate and undergraduate) are entitled to the same privileges as regular registrants. Students are required to present valid student identification or proof of current enrollment when they pick up their registration materials. Post-docs are not considered students.

Emeritus Registration

Emeritus members may also register at the discounted rate. To qualify for OSA emeritus status, members must be fully retired and must have been an OSA member for at least 10 years. The member's age plus the number of years of membership in OSA must equal 75 years or more.

Please contact APS regarding qualification for Emeritus status.

Exhibit Only Registration

Exhibit Only registration allows attendees to access the Exhibit Hall and Plenary Session. This registration does NOT include access to the Technical Sessions, Conference Reception or a Program with Technical Digest on CD-ROM. To attend any of the technical sessions or receive the Program, you must register for a Technical Registration.

To further this commitment, we have adopted this Privacy Policy to guide how we collect, store and use the information you provide to us.

Payment

Credit cards are accepted. Payments made by check or money order must be made payable to the Optical Society of America in US dollars and drawn on a US bank. Payment must accompany your registration form in order to process your badge/ticket order. Forms and online registrations received on or before 9 September, 2013, 11:59 p.m. EST (04.59 GMT, next day) will be charged the pre-registration fee. Registrations received after 9 September, 2013, 11:59 p.m. EST (04.59 GMT, next day) will automatically be charged the on-site registration fee.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

All requests for refunds must be received in writing by Monday, 23 September 2013. A US $75 service charge will be assessed for processing refunds. All registrations received after Monday, 23 September 2013, are NON-REFUNDABLE. Please allow four to six weeks for processing.

Note that the Post-deadline Papers notifications typically occur after the refund cut-off date. Keep this in mind when registering.
Refunds based on the inability to get a visa will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Please begin the visa application process early. The visa process can take as long as three months in some cases.

NO REQUESTS FOR REFUNDS WILL BE CONSIDERED AFTER 23 SEPTEMBER 2013.
